The nation's capital

It was my time to get a year older on the weekend, and we traveled up to Ottawa for my birthday. I hadn't ever been to Canada's capital before, and on this trip I not only got to see the O-town for the first time but also venture into Quebec, as we went for a late afternoon/early evening hike in the Gatineau Park, then beer in Hull and last, but not least, drinks in Helsinki. :)

I liked it. Ottawa is, like I expected and had been told, a lot like other capital cities, which are not the biggest and most exciting city in the country - full of federal buildings, clean, a bit quiet and a bit dry, but I guess I'm starting to be of the age that I like the nice, clean and quiet, huh? ;)
